Amazing tour! Daniel was so interesting and told me stories about history that were fascinating and I never heard of! My favorites were the ones about the Templars and Catherine De Medici. He also gives a pdf that he links to different sources as well. It's must do for all history lovers or anyone interested in a good story! Cant recommend enough!

I consider myself relatively historically erudite and booked the tour mostly for my 15 year-old who's a fan of medieval European history and intrigue. My expectations weren't sky-high: a few cute historical anecdotes at a handful of important locations would've been enough. Instead, what we got was a highly entertaining and eye opening oral and visual tour of the crucial incidents that forever altered not just French, but world history. When it comes to storytelling, Daniel has a rare combination of charm, humor, and encyclopedic historical knowledge that effectively synthesizes a series of seemingly random historical Paris moments into a grand narrative that helped me to better understand not just the city, but the entire French and European history of the past 1,000 years. This is not just for history nerds, but for anyone who's looking for something a little bit different and deeper than your typical historical highlights. I can't recommend this tour enough.

About Your Guide
After 6 years working as a tour guide for one of the most prestigious tour operators in the city and more than 500 five star reviews on TripAdvisor, I decided that I have enough experience to go and try to build something on my own. Knowing the business inside-out, I realised that there was a better way to teach visitors of our city about its impact on world history. Many tours consider their customers as not smart enough to understand some stories and prefer toning the stories down to make everything palatable for everyone. Others bore you with too much dry information delivered in a monotone way. And many stories are never told because of a lack of “hook” as they say ...
There had to be a better way and I found it ! Ode to Paris is a result of 2 years of intense work, research and testing that delivers my “new tour formula”. Stories that are never told are delivered in a dynamic and entertaining way whilst also going deep enough to make the stories relevant for our modern world and leaving a deep impression on the listener.
